Shelton Cheeses won three awards in the prestigious 19 th Annual American Society Competition held in Washington, DC on July 31 th and August st, 2001.

Shelton Estate TommeShelton Cheeses' Blue Ridge Round, a vegetable ash ripened aged chevre was awarded second place in the category of Aged Goat's Milk Cheeses. In addition, Shelton Cheeses' Twin Oaks Brie a soft ripened aged chevre received second place honors in the category of Soft Ripened Cheese, Goat and Sheep's Milk.

In the category of American Made International Style Cheese, third place was awarded to Shelton Estate Tomme. This is the house cheese of Shelton Cheeses and is made from premium Jersey cow milk.

Shelton Cheeses sources its milk from Hodges Dairy Farm in Low Gap, North Carolina. The goats and Jersey cows are raised on rotational grazing and provide cheesemaker Bryan Anderson with outstanding raw material for crafting his award-winning cheeses.

Blue Ridge RoundShelton Cheeses also produces premium Aged Cheddar and Fresh Chevre. All cheese are handcrafted artisan-style cheeses and are available at Shelton Cheeses and other fine retailers and restaurants.

Shelton Cheeses is located on the grounds of Shelton Vineyards in the Yadkin Valley near Dobson, North Carolina. The 383-age estate has 200 acres of premium vinifera grapes and offers daily tours and tastings at its winery and cheese shop. The owners are Charlie and Ed Shelton.
